Greetings to all current and former CSC members!  As I sit here at my computer typing this letter
it is hard for me to believe that our opening day for spring soccer is only seven weeks off!

I wanted to remind everyone of a few important events coming up this spring.  First, our last 
registration date is Saturday, March 8, from 9-12 at the Diamond Community Center.  If you can't 
make that, please mail in your registration but be sure you get it postmarked by Monday, March 10 
to be assured of placement on a team.  Any registrations received after that will be on a 
space-available basis only and no requests will be honored.

The spring coaches meeting is on Monday, April 7 at 8:00 pm.  All coaches and assistant coaches 
are expected to attend as we go over important information prior to the start of the season.  If 
you are planning to be coach you must either indicate such on your child's registration form or 
contact our coaches coordinator, Bob Sanderson (check the website for Bob's email address).

At this point we are not sure when practice can start.  That is totally up to Plain Township Parks 
Dept. and depends on the condition of the fields.  We will set practice schedules at the coaches 
meeting, as usual.

One more item of note for coaches--we are having our spring clinic a little later than normal this 
year.  It will be held on Sunday afternoon, April 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the McGregor School 
in Canton.  We'll have details available at the coaches meeting and also post the information on 
the website.

One last item--our annual summer soccer camp, coached by British Soccer of Challenger Sports, will 
be held at Diamond Park the week of June 9.  Plan ahead and register early so your player can receive 
a free tee shirt.  Details will be posted on the website soon.

OK, you can all go back to shoveling snow now.  Hopefully there won't be too much more of the white 
stuff this winter.
