From: CSC Admin [cscadmin@communitysoccerclub.com] Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 8:29 PM To: info@communitysoccerclub.com Subject: Community Soccer Club e-Letter, Fall 2004, No. 1 Welcome to the Fall 2004 season of the Commuity Soccer Club. Now in our 16th year, we hope this season will be better than ever for the great kids of Plain Township and surrounding areas. Opening day is Saturday, August 28. Your coaches have been contacting you to let you know when practice will be and when your first game is. If you haven't heard from your coach by August 23, please call the club at 330-499-2222 or send us an email at comments@communitysoccerclub.com. This season we are moving to a small sided game format, where all age groups except the All-Girls and Grade 7&8 will be playing on smaller fields with fewer players. We are doing this to give the kids more chances to touch the ball and to participate in all aspects of the game, both attacking and defending. The end result, we hope, will be more rapid skill advancement and more fun. Plain Township Parks and Recreation has graciously agreed to mark out three new fields for the Kindergarten teams. These fields, numbered 13, 14, and 15, are located just south of existing Field 9. We have been informed by Plain Township that the Stark County Sheriff will be on site on Opening Day to do fingerprinting for your kids. Take advantage of this free service to improve the safety and security of our neighborhoods. Also, we have entered into an agreement with the local Bridgestone-Firestone stores to provide free soccer balls, on a limited basis, to the kids in our program. On Opening Day you will receive a flyer telling you how to participate. The club benefits too, because Bridgestone-Firestone will contribute $2.00 to the club for every tire sold to club members during the promotion period. It is our goal to make youth recreational soccer in Plain Township a great experience for you and your kids. Let us know how we're doing by going to www.communitysoccerclub.com and sending us your comments. Best regards, Mark Ostergren President Community Soccer Club
